Assateague winds have destroyed about 6 canopies over the years. I grabbed some scrap, some white spray paint, welded some bolts and drilled some holes and made a DIY canopy. It has survived all year without issue, overall cost was about $100 in parts and the rest of the "materials" and ability to make it were already available to me in my shop. I painted it white so it wouldn't get really hot in the sun. I also used 3/8" pins instead of 1/4" because the 1/4" ones bent upon install. No tools required and takes about 5 minutes to put up. I also color coded where each pole goes and I have different height stand up poles as well.
