My secret recipe for sandwich bread in the bread machine that is better than store-bought bread

**Recipe Ingredients **
- 3 cups (360g) bread flour / 375 grams
- 1 cup (240ml) whole milk / 250 milliliters
- 1/4 cup (60ml) plain applesauce / 60 milliliters
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 teaspoon (5ml) vanilla / 5 milliliters
- 2 teaspoons (10ml) salt / 10 milliliters
- 2 1/4 teaspoons (7g) yeast / 7 grams
- 1/4 cup (50g) sugar / 50 grams
- 2 tablespoons (30ml) oil / 30 milliliters

**Instructions:**
1. Warm the milk, applesauce, oil, sugar, and salt in a small saucepan until it reaches 104°F (40°C)
2. add the egg yolk and vanilla
3. In the bread machine pan, add the warmed mixture along with the flour and yeast.
4. Select the white bread cycle, 2 lb. loaf size, and medium crust setting on your bread machine.
5. Let the bread machine do its work, and soon you'll be rewarded with a golden-brown loaf of sandwich bread that's better than anything you can buy in a store.
