Barcelona is the undisputed mecca for surfskaters and skateboarders worldwide, and finally I got the opportunity to bring my unique skateboard-influenced style of surfskating to this magical skatepark disguised-as-a-city. Barcelona is a world class city that pulses with energy, with smooth sun-drenched streets, vibrant plazas, and architecture and landscaping that could only have been designed by skateboarders. Every corner of Barcelona is steeped in skate history, from the iconic skate spots we recognize from videos, to the hidden gems we stumble upon by chance. The city seamlessly blends old-world architecture with modern skate culture, creating a fantasy landscape where creativity can flourish. Barcelona offers a diverse range of terrain that suits every style and level of skater. The weather is perfect, the food and drinks are cheap, the culture is alive, and the passion of the surfskate community is unmatched. YOU NEED TO GO SOMEDAY.
And now, after 4 years desperately lusting after a visit, I've finally turned my dream into reality. Skating in this legendary city, rolling my wheels and grinding my trucks across the same surfaces as so many of my skate idols... Words cannot describe how epic this trip was. But maybe this short video can give you a little insight.
All this was filmed in 8 days, usually skating at least 4-6 hours a day, and I only scratched the surface of my spot list. A HUGE thank you to my wife, who agreed to join me on this journey and just absolutely nail the filming like a pro. Big thank you to my sponsors: @Qwiktruks_SSLB and @whitetailskateboards for the gear that made this trip so fruitful in terms of the tricks I wanted.
If you were stoked on this video, the biggest thing that would make me happy is sharing it with another surfskater. I love surfskating and sharing the stoke and my passion. Thanks for watching!
