After a year away, the Spring Steam Gala makes a welcome return to the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway. The event would see the usual mix of full line and shuttle passengers trains, as well as the occasional goods train thrown in for good measure.
Joining the home fleet of locomotives were two guests in the form of 50th Anniversary Gala guests LMS Royal Scot No 46100 'Royal Scot' courtesy of the Royal Scot Locomotive and General Trust and GWR Pannier Tank No 7714 courtesy of the Severn Valley Railway. The event would also be the first appearance of the newly repainted Lancashire & Yorkshire Railway Class 25 'Ironclad' in its British Railways guise No 52044.
The weather for the event was mostly dry, though Friday afternoon and evening saw light rain after a mostly dry but overcast day.
