I tried AUTHENTIC UZBEK PLOV in CENTRAL ASIAN PLOV CENTER (Besh Qozon), Tashkent. Plov (Pilaf) is the national dish of Uzbekistan made with long-grain rice, carrots, onions, and lamb, or beef.
I had an incredible experience at the Central Asian Plov Center in Tashkent, Uzbekistan! I watched how plov (pronounced as "Plof:/Pilaf") was being made in huge kazans (cooking pots) over an open fire. I was surprised that there were so many different types of plov and their toppings like Kazy (horse meat sausage), Dolma (grape leaves stuffed with minced meat and rice), and Chicken or quail eggs. There were chickpeas and raisins in my plov😋 You can also add extra meat which is usually lamb or beef.
Plov is a popular dish in Russia and other post-Soviet countries but it can’t be compared to AUTHENTIC UZBEK PLOV, I swear! Besh Qozon’s plov tastes great with fresh vegetable salad (tomato, cucumbers, lettuce, dill, parsley, and green onions), traditional Uzbek bread, and hot green tea with sugar and lemon. Ang sarap! Delicious! And very affordable. You guys should try authentic Uzbek food😉
❗️Besh Qozon means a big cauldron or pot
❗️If you wanna watch the cooking process better come in the morning or before lunch. It’s really fascinating to stare at an open fire and bunches of rice and carrots inside kazans. Mabango! (Smells good!)
You can find more info, menu, and prices in my video. Enjoy🤗
