Adele helped put British music "on the map" for Americans, with many of our friends across the pond "idolising" UK bands, singer-songwriter Ellie Goulding has said. Celebrating two nominations in the Best British Female Solo Artist and Best British Single of the Year categories, Ellie said Adele has played a huge part in how popular British music has become around the world. "They're getting into bands that we've been into for a really long time - and we've had phases of music that not a lot of countries, especially America," she said. Report by Charlotte Cross.
