Fuengirola - Santa Amalia is Fuengirola's most extensive beach for swimming. You can find a purely urban enclave as Fuengirola is a natural extension of the former town.

Like with the rest of the Costa del Sol, Fuengirola's beaches, especially Santa Amalia - Fuengirola, has a wealth of amenities that are ideal for family-friendly tourism, combining the beautiful, dark-sand beach with calm waters and children's play areas. Furthermore, this beach has been awarded the Blue Flag, a distinction awarded by the European Foundation for Environmental Education.
