Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland really give us everything we want when it comes to Rick and Morty easter eggs. With season 6 now at our disposal, we’re on the hunt for every single one. Starting out with Rick and Morty season 6, episode 1, Solaricks, we’ve already got a lot to unpack. Do you remember back in season two when Rick and Morty brought Jerry to Jerryboree? At the end, were you unsure if they brought back the correct Jerry? Well, this episode answers that question for us. We also get a callback to season one when Rick and Morty bury themselves in the backyard – it also foreshadows what’s going to happen at the end of the episode. Beth asks the age old question, “how many times have you done this?” We also get some incredible season two call backs with our favorite unemployed Jerry. How many times in season two does everyone tell him to get a job? We also get to revisit Morty’s original dimension that he and Rick accidentally Cronenberged. Whoops. Unfortunately for Morty, Jerry isn’t too happy to be reunited with him. It also seems like we’re never going to get to see how the game “Down Beat” actually ends. Only two to three minutes, but we can’t seem to get there. There are so many other references to things like 80s movies, a dirty joke here and there, and even Mortal Kombat.
