On Friday, technical/progressive death metal maestro Steffen Kummerer of Germany's legenday OBSCURA joined me for a fantastic and in-depth discussion. We broach a pretty diverse range of topics here, from lineup changes, the bands' trajectory within the music scene over time, transitioning to full-time musicianship, the practicalities of being a touring working musician and of course, latest album 'A Sonication' which drops Feb 7th, 2025.
