All of Charlie Telfer’s U20 goals for Rangers FC from 2013/14! Charlie scored 7 goals for Rangers U20’s during the 2013/14 season and also played for Rangers Reserves. After an impressive couple of seasons at Rangers, he made his professional debut for Rangers first team in 2013/14 coming on as a substitute. Charlie is a very gifted footballer with great awareness and has excellent delivery from set-pieces. Telfer was one of Rangers’ best youth players coming through the ranks of one of the best youth academy’s in Scotland at Murray Park, however at the end of the 2013/14 campaign, Telfer joined Dundee United on a three year contract at the age of 18 on a free transfer after rejecting a new deal at Rangers. Charlie spent over 10 years at Rangers, the club he supported growing up. Telfer stated that he was excited with how Dundee United are letting their youth get a chance in the first team, and after seeing the likes of Ryan Gauld, Andy Roberson, Stuart Armstrong and Gary-Mackay Steven have successful seasons, Charlie said it was on offer he couldn’t turn down. He was also optimistic about playing in the SPFL Premiership next season, and he could be a perfect replacement for Ryan Gauld who has recently left for Sporting CP.
