A Boeing 747 carrying the first rocket to launch into space from UK soil has taken off from Spaceport Cornwall.
Virgin Orbit's modified Boeing 747 - dubbed Cosmic Girl - is now in the air with the LauncherOne rocket attached to its wing.
Cosmic Girl took off horizontally from Newquay shortly after 10pm and is now on its way to release the rocket when it gets to the south of Ireland.
