We had to get the vinyl liner re-done on our pool and I decided it would be awesome to get a wooden diving board: have you ever priced them? Yeah... So, we decided to make our own.
I don't have a lot of the tools that would have made this easier (drum sander, large jointer, etc.) but, honestly, that is where these projects get fun. I got to use my antique plane again and I got to square up the edges by hand - which was completely new to me.
Anyway... here is part 1 - in the next part, we will be removing the old diving board and installing AND (if the weather ever warms up) using this bad boy!!
