Parsad is a traditional Hindu sweet dish that is made during religious festivals such as Diwali. This delicious dessert is made using flour, sugar, butter, milk, and spices such as cardamom and cinnamon. The flour is roasted in butter until it turns golden brown, after which sugar and milk are added to it. The mixture is then cooked until it thickens and the spices are added to give it a rich and aromatic flavor.
Once the mixture is ready, it is then garnished with raisins or other nuts to add a crunchy texture. Parsad is often served warm and is a favorite among Indo-Caribbean Hindus.
