Fundación Telefónica and the Aspen Institute are holding a new edition of the Tech & Society series at the Círculo de Bellas Artes on 27 November at 18:30. The session will feature Anu Bradford, a leading expert on the EU's regulatory power in the digital sphere and its global implications. She is the author of the essay "The Brussels Effect: How the European Union Rules the World", which has become an international reference on the different regulatory systems for technology companies, and the recently published Digital Empires: The Global Battle to Regulate Technology, which will explore the battle between the US, China and the EU to advance their competing visions of the digital economy, while expanding their sphere of influence in the digital world through regulation.
