Our Medway Valley road trip at the upper reaches River Medway before it reaches the River Thames. Part of Our Kent Road trip series ([ Ссылка ]) exploring the country the county of Kent.

Part two of our Kent road trip picks up where we left off at Lower Upnor as we leave and rejoin the A289 and head towards Maritime Chatham through the Medway tunnel. We take a brief look at Chatham Marina, the outside of the Victorian Pump house number 5, now home to the Copper Rivet Distillery before a sneak peek at the Historic Dockyard Chatham. Leaving the Chatham Maritime, we head through urban Chatham before arriving at the outskirts of Rochester. We show you how to link this route with the M2/M20 motorways before heading on to Historic Rochester.

We take a short look at Rochester; again, there is a full video of Rochester available. We head onto Wouldham, via Borstal, of the child correction facility infamy, before arriving at All Saints Church, the burian place of Walter Burke, in whom arms Horation Nelson died aboard HMS Victory.

Then the short drive from Wouldham to Kit's Coty, and the remains of the neolithic long barrow burial chamber that dates from around 4,000 years BC, 1,500-2,000 years older than Stonehenge. We then drive to our final destination of Aylesford, with its medieval stone bridge, and Dickensian looking high street, and close the video by dropping into Aylesford Friars.
