A forest fire that broke out in Gangneung over the weekend, is continuing to ravage Korea's eastern province.
The blaze rekindled overnight, just hours after an announcement that the blaze had been contained.
This has prompted the country's forest service to issue a new evacuation order to more than 500 residents in the area.

The Korea Forest Service has issued an evacuation order to residents of Bokwang-ri and Kwaneum-ri in Gangneung, after renewed wildfires broke out in the area.
The blaze, which started on Saturday, was initially thought to be contained as of Sunday evening.
However, remaining embers fueled by strong winds have rekindled the fire, which is once again threatening the lives and property of local residents.
The authorities deployed 500 firefighters to the area overnight, and will mobilize an additional 2,000 personnel and 15 helicopters later in the day.
So far, the wildfire has destroyed 33 homes and burned 50 hectares of forest in Gangneung, the equivalent of 70 football fields.
Another fire that broke out in Sangju in Gyeongsangbuk-do Province on Saturday, was extinguished on Sunday after burning for more than 20 hours.
One mountain climber was killed, while two other hikers were hospitalized.
While the exact cause remains unclear, authorities suspect the fire was triggered accidentally by hikers.
The forest service has vowed to conduct a thorough investigation, and strongly punish those responsible.
Strong winds and rough terrain continue to pose a challenge to firefighters trying to contain the blaze, that has now been burning for almost two full days.
