History :
Croatian piece Dance of the Baroness / Ples Barunice by Frano Parac, a Croatian composer and teacher. At the Zagreb University Music Academy he completed studies in music theory in 1972 and composition studies with Stanko Horvat in 1975. He also attended courses in electronic music with Marino Zuccheri at the Studio di fonologia musicale in Milan (1977–8). From 1972 to 1978 he was teacher of music theory at a secondary music school in Zagreb. He has been a lecturer at the Music Academy in Zagreb since 1978 and professor of composition since 1992. He was also dean of the Academy from 1985 to 1987 and from 2002 to 2007. In 1992 he was elected as an associate member of the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts and in 2008 as an ordinary member. He has been awarded many prizes.
