🌿Propagating bougainvillea from cuttings is a rewarding and relatively easy process that allows you to create new plants from your existing one. Here's a breakdown of the steps involved:
Timing: Ideally, do this in spring or summer when the plant is actively growing. However, it can be done at any time of year with some adjustments.

Step 1: Select healthy and mature, non-flowering bougainvillea stems. Avoid diseased or wilted parts. Cut branches into 6 to 8- to inch lengths.

Step 2: Take an aloe vera leaf. Apply aloe vera gel on the cut end of the branch. Aloe vera has anti-fungal and anti-bacterial properties. Aloe vera can help prevent fungal and bacterial infections. Aloe vera gel is a natural rooting hormone that promotes root growth. Aloe vera gel helps keep the cutting hydrated, which is crucial for root development.

Step 3: Take an 10-inch pot. The pot should have holes in the bottom for drainage. Fill the container with river sand.

Step 4: Plant the branches 2 to 3 inches deep. Plant the cuttings 1
to 2 inches apart. and give water the pot thoroughly until water drains out the bottom.. Cover the cuttings with plastic bottles to create a humid environment. Location: Place the pot in a warm, bright location with indirect sunlight. Aim for temperatures above 70°F (21°C).

Step 5: Shoots should start to emerge within 20 days.
Be patient, Rooting can take 4-6 weeks, sometimes longer. Gradually acclimate: Once new leaves appear and roots are established, gradually remove the plastic bottle to acclimate the plant to drier air.
Once the roots have developed you can transplant the bougainvillea trees into individual pots or into the ground. With proper care and patience, you'll soon have new bougainvillea plants flourishing from your cuttings. Happy propagating!
