Finally a comp where Thoma no longer steals vapes from Hu Tao! A showcase of Double Hydro Hu Tao team (Hu Tao - Xingqiu - Yelan - Thoma) featuring Elegy Yelan in 2.8 Spiral Abyss Floor 12 2nd Half. Vaporize testing and rotation included.

====📝THINGS TO NOTE📝====
1. This team basically a weaker version of the Zhongli variant (damage wise) with no vape stealing now. C6 Thoma + Instructor boosts Hu Tao's damage but Zhongli's RES shred still better overall. Requires max constellation Thoma and hard to farm Instructor artifacts though.
2. I don't have HP% pieces from Instructor set. What are other sets I can use?
• 4NO - Minimal gains on Hu Tao and Xingqiu can't utilize buff because of rotation sequence but better than nothing.
• 2ToM 2ESoF - Stronger shield + easier to reach 180-200 ER (C4+)
Rotation without Instructor: Xingqiu EQ/QE - Thoma EQ/QE - Yelan EQ/QE - Hu Tao E N2CD (Longer Yelan buff)
3. Can I use Fav Lance or Prototype Starglitter instead of Black Tassle?
• Yes but at the cost of a weaker shield. Since it's hard to get ER substats from Instructor pieces, you can cope with these in the mean time. Prototype Starglitter 〉Fav Lance
4. Will N1CD lead to stolen vapes?
• In theory, it shouldn't because it applies less Pyro but you never know. I couldn't be bothered testing since N2CD is ingrained in muscle memory already. Just do N2CD.
5. Do you still recommend using this comp if I don't have C6 Thoma?
• No C6 Thoma but with viable Instructor set: NO*
•Have C6 Thoma but no viable Instructor set: If No Zhongli*
• Have C6 Thoma with viable Instructor set: Yes
*There are plenty of better options in Double Hydro Hu Tao: Zhongli/Xiangling/Fischl/Sucrose/Kazuha. Thoma without C6 and Instructor just seems like a subpar choice compared to them. Just use these instead tbh.
Problem: Rainswords Overhealing
•Due to the long duration of the rotation, Xingqiu's rainsword would have healed you by the time you finish with Hu Tao. Hydro resonance + shield only makes it harder to get Hu Tao's HP below 50%.
Fix: Just don't use Thoma's shield during the first chamber's first rotation and take hits intentionally. Repeat on other chambers when needed.
