This session focuses on ways to establish conditions for innovation that will ensure that our learning systems are more powerful and more successful.
While “islands of innovation” and exceptionally effective learning environments do exist, broad, systemic change is needed to spark innovation on a larger scale. How do we achieve both excellence and equity? How can we develop innovation readiness in education systems? What methods have proven effective and how can we measure outcomes?
Mr. Gilbert Doumit of Beyond Reform & Development Group says "We believe that violence, unemployment and poverty are the symptoms for a root cause: education. Our education systems do not prepare us to live in societies in harmony and cohesion as citizens. They do not prepare us to be entrepreneurs and active humans in our societies."
So what could be done more? Watch this panel discuss the ideas and challenges to implementing innovation at a systems level.
