NO SALT All Purpose HERB Seasoning Mix - Gluten Free, Low Sodium, Diabetic Friendly
There are times I want a pre-mixed HERB seasoning that does not have salt in it already. Think Mrs. Dash as a national brand. Maybe it is because there is plenty of salt already. Maybe it is for health reasons. This simple HERB Seasoning recipe is good for those occasions.
For those that need to watch oxalates, you will need to use this sparingly. Several Herb are considered to be high oxalates but we are using very small amounts of them at a time. Moderation is always key with any food choice.
You can put this in a soup, enhance your fish, pork, beef or chicken. Use your imagination! Obviously you can modify this blend to your own tastes.
I use my own homemade spices and herbs whenever I can. I made the onion power, the garlic powder, and cayenne powder when I add it.
I recommend small batches and store in an air tight container.
NO SALT All Purpose HERB Seasoning Mix
1 Tbls Onion Flakes OR Minced Onion
1 Tbls Onion Powder
1 Tbls Garlic Powder or Garlic Granules
1 tsps Basil
1 tsps Parsley
1 tsps Marjoram
1 tsps Thyme
1 tsps Ground White Pepper
1 tsps Sage
1/2 tsps Nutmeg
1/2 tsps Dry Mustard
1/4 tsps Cayenne (optional)
