FISHTRAP, Wash. — There is a large wildfire burning right now near Fishtrap, Washington in Lincoln County.
The Lincoln County Sheriff's Office says the fire is heading toward Spokane County. They also say Sprague Fire units are on the scene of the fire.
Level 3 Evacuations, meaning LEAVE NOW, are in place for the Snider Road Fire. The evacuations are in place for people near Boston Road, Carmen Road, Columbia Basin Highway, the entire community of Tyler and two miles down Pine Springs Road from Highway 904.
Spokane County Fire District 3 says the fire has jumped south of I-90.
The fire has burned 500 acres in Lincoln County and 20 acres in Spokane County.
SCFD 3 says there are reports that the fire is threatening homes in the area.
Aircrafts are on the scene looking to put out the fire. Spokane County and DNR are also sending units to the fire. Edwall Fire units are also on the scene.
The LCSO says you should use caution if you are traveling in the area.
According to DNR, the fire progression has stopped, but evacuation orders are still in place. DNR says they will ease those evacuations in the coming hours and fire bosses have stopped for the evening.
