To reset your Xbox Elite Controller, you can follow these steps:

Press and hold the Xbox button on the controller for 5 seconds until the controller turns off.
Remove the batteries or charging pack from the back of the controller.
Wait for a few seconds, then place the batteries or charging pack back into the controller.
Press the Xbox button to start the controller up again.
If the above steps don’t work, you can try power cycling the controller by following these steps:

Power off the controller by pressing and holding the Xbox button for 5 seconds until the controller turns off.
Remove the batteries or charging pack from the back of the controller.
Check that your batteries are not the culprit by testing them elsewhere. If you’re using the Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2, it has a built-in battery, so skip this step.
Put the batteries back into the controller.
Press and hold the Xbox button again to turn the controller on.
After turning on the controller, charge it to its fullest.
