A favourite of TRADtv's, we've filmed RURA in our director's home, on location in Stirling, Perth and Glasgow and even featured Steven playing a piobaireachd arrangement on the piano in a Glasgow West End bar. Their dynamic sound ranges from the sublime to the frenetic. RURA are a multi award-winning act and one of Scotland’s most sought-after folk bands. They blend fiddle, Highland pipes, flute, bodhrán and guitar. They have fans all over the world.
Rura are: Jack Smedley – Fiddle; Steven Blake – Pipes, Whistles, Piano; Guitar – Adam Brown and David Foley – Bodhrán, Flute.
The artists can't travel from Scotland to Australia to perform live at the moment but we can help take them there, and share these vibrant live music sessions with everyone in the process.
