I see a lot of Generators at my small engine repair shop.. This is not a common problem but can happen especially to generators that have lot of hours of use but regular maint. The spark arrestor at the end of the muffler will get oil and carbon clogged to the point it restricts the muffler! If muffler doesn't flow freely the engine can not rev up. Take it off and start the generator. You might be pleasantly surprised your generator runs great again! It is general only couple of screws to take off the spark arrestor. It can be cleaned in old gasoline or carb cleaner works well. Hope that helped. Subscribe and like if you did. Thanks
