The BMW Group is the first carmaker in the world to receive approval for a combination of a Level 2 and a Level 3 driving assistance system in the same vehicle.

The new BMW 7 Series therefore sets a milestone in the field of automated driving by offering a unique opportunity to enjoy the benefits of both systems, the BMW Highway Assistant and the BMW Personal Pilot L3 in the same car. The BMW Highway Assistant (Level 2) is also available in the BMW 5 Series.
