Austria reported 15,145 Covid cases on Thursday (left), a new one-day record that led governor Thomas Stelzer (top right) to call for the un-jabbed lockdown to end - but only so a nationwide lockdown can replace it. If the country's leaders do not agree to the lockdown measures at a summit tomorrow, Stelzer said, then he will go ahead an lock down his state independently - a move he said will be copied in the neighbouring province of Salzburg. 'This absolutely necessary measure... will hopefully help to significantly bring down the daily growth figures. This was not the case with the previous measures,' he added. In comes just days after Austria became the first country to impose lockdown on only the unvaccinated in what critics have dubbed a 'health apartheid' (bottom right, a man is vaccinated in Austria).
