The finalists, Albert Gjukaj from Switzerland (@albert_gjukaj), Choo Gordon from China (@choo.gordon), and Nishigami Yoshihiro from Japan (@yoshihiro_nishigami), had just 20 minutes to transform a factory-new pair of cap toe oxfords from Bridlen Shoes using Saphir Medaille d’Or shoe polish. Each contestant showcased their unique techniques and styles, making it a thrilling experience for the audience.
After a rigorous and closely fought contest, Nishigami Yoshihiro emerged as the 2024 World Champion of Shoe Shining. His exceptional skill and artistry earned him the top spot, leaving the audience in awe of his impeccable high shine with stunning depth.
Albert Gjukaj and Choo Gordon also delivered remarkable performances, demonstrating the high level of talent present at the competition. The event was a true celebration of the art of shoe shining, highlighting the intricate craftsmanship involved in achieving the perfect polish.
The championship was a highlight of the London Super Trunk Show, which also featured an array of global exhibitors showcasing top-tier men’s shoes and menswear.
