Located between East Asia and India + Middle East, Southeast Asia has been an international hub for traders since ancient time. Aside from India and Arab, it was China that left its influences in the region. Even today, China's spread of influence is still ongoing.

The chinese contribute to Southeast Asia culinary scene, religion, geopolitic, and others. Some ASEAN nations have significant minority and even majority chinese population like Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Thailand.

Note: In this video, the word China is broadly defined. I included taiwanese spread of influences because though they are separated entity from the mainland, for thousands of year, they are part of the chinese civilization.
