[ Ссылка ] I’ve a couple of memorable catches and this is one of them. What makes a catch memorable for me is often not the size although decent size fish are always welcomed but it is the whole process and how it happened that makes that sequence of event stay fresh in the mind and replayed over time.
That day was a lot of walking and trekking with very few casts made. Fairly far upstream I spotted this fish just holding position right at the edge of the top pool. I put the Chernobyl ant right where I wanted. The drift was quick as it was very close to the edge of the fall but the fish was quicker and ate the fly before it drifted away. The line came tight and I fought the fish down to the third and lowest pool. It put up a good fight and the Sage Click reel added to the excitement as it screamed in protest every time the mahseer ran.
