Lyonya Shilovsky from Novosibirsk tapped his way into the spotlight earlier this year when he appeared on the Russian talent show Minute of Fame and now a video of him in action has gone viral.
The gifted child is seen in the clip leading an orchestra of adult musicians through a rousing section of Jacques Offenbach's Orpheus in the Underworld, commonly known as the Can-Can.
Without sheet music he faultlessly memorizes all of the crescendos, diminuendos and accompanying rhythms.
Eventually he brings everything to an end with a mighty drum roll.
But not letting fans down, he goes on to perform an elaborate solo encore.
The adult musicians are seen looking at him in amazement as he bashes away in a trance-like state.
Finally, after being coaxed away from his miniature piece of kit, Lyonya stands up to receive a bouquet of flowers and take a well-earned bow.
The impressive performance took place at the New State Concert Hall of Arnold Katz in Novosibirsk on February 19 but footage of it has only recently surfaced online.
Many viewers have praised Lyonya's musical talent, deeming it 'astonishing'.
One fan exclaimed: 'Ha! So cute! Love the look at the end! He wanted to play all night!'
