For over 20 years, bear Mark lived a sad life as the last restaurant bear in Albania. He was confined to a concrete cage, that was built without plans of Mark ever leaving. 💔
However, our dedicated team gave their all to rescue poor Mark, including cutting the cage open, and bring him to our BEAR SANCTUARY Arbesbach – where he can now, finally, live a species-appropriate life. 🐻
Mark is currently getting used to his new life and carefully exploring his surroundings. 🏞️ After his initial adjustment period, further measures for improving his health condition will be decided.
Thanks to your support he will get to enjoy a beautiful, big enclosure 🌳 with real ground beneath his paws for the rest of his life. Stay tuned for more updates. 💕
