Can you turn your legs whilst keeping your torso facing down the hill? Getting the hang of turning the skis with only the legs instead of the whole body allows skiers to make quicker turns. By the way it’s a common misconception that skiers should ALWAYS try to face the upper body down the hill. In actual fact, we only really do this when we’re trying to make quicker turns. If you’re making bigger carve turns, twisting your body will make for a weaker posture. The aim is to adapt your technique to the type of turn and terrain that you are on, in order to be confident on all terrain. #skiskills #learntoski #ski #skiing ##skischool skitips #avoriaz @mountainsports.co.uk @backcountryaccess @k2skis @blackpeaktrading
