For most of us guitar players in the know, sweep picking is a great way to play arpeggios fast (an arpeggio is the notes of a chord played one note at a time) for those of us also in the know, we know how insane this video of Akira Takasaki alternate picking arpeggios (much harder) is!
Akira is the most amazing guitar player for decades that you have never heard about. He is the guitar player for the Japanese metal band Loudness. I have been a fan since 1984/1985 and even at a young age with my interest in taking up guitar peaking, I knew how phenomenal he was.
In the video I break down what he is doing from a sweep picking and alternate picking perspective.
