Heroic, brave and working round the clock to provide essential health care services during the COVID-19 pandemic, health workers need to be protected so that they are safe while on duty. To ensure the safety of all workers in health facilities at the forefront of the pandemic in Kamwenge District, UNICEF is supplying personal protective equipment (PPEs). In addition, health facilities have also received detergents, chlorine, handwashing stations, soap, and hand sanitizers for infection prevention and control, thanks to UNICEF support with financial support from UKaid.
