This video shows my pedalboard during a jam session from 6/27/15. It's intended primarily for other trumpet or wind instrument players who might be interested in playing with effects pedals. As you can see, there is a major advantage to having the whole pedalboard at waist height for a trumpet player since your left hand can be used to manipulate the knobs as you play.
