When Uthman burned several variations of the Qu’ran, he is told to have written 6 copies of the “correct” Qur'an. He sent 5 of these out to the major cities of the region so Muslims could be sure to be reading and following the same script. These manuscripts are said to originate in the 7th century, but Al Fadi and Dr. Jay reveal evidence suggesting that none of these manuscripts match that dating.
