The Vatican has sent a congratulatory message to Muslims at the end of Ramadan. The letter highlighted the necessity of fighting the challenges of poverty and promotion of the development of each man in order to end extremism and violence. Though it doesnt have an official date, the Vatican press office published it on September 11.
Every year, the Vatican department dedicated to inter-religious dialogue sends a message to Muslims at the end of Ramadan.
This years message is Christians and Muslims: together in overcoming poverty, and says that poverty is humiliating and it spurs hate, desire for revenge and violence.
The Vatican insists that poverty is born when the dignity of man is not respected independent of his religion. Thats why it asks for the recognition of a common ethics code, based on the dignity of each person. It also asks for a declaration of human rights that Islamic states also respects.
