More people have officially been vaccinated for COVID-19 in the UK than have tested positive for the virus.

Over three million citizens have received their first jab and just under half a million have been administered their second, which takes the total number to more than four million.

A further 1,200 deaths and 41,000 cases have been confirmed overnight.
