More than 21,000 people in Indonesia fled their homes after the eruption of Mount Sinabung. The volcano has been asleep for four centuries but woke abruptly Sunday, spewing magma, smoke and sulfur into the air. There are 129 active volcanoes in the country; which is home to some of the largest blasts in recorded history. Villagers reportedly spoke of how their crops will be killed as a result, many farmers scuttled back to check on livestock and fields Tuesday before taking shelter at the volcano's base.
