In this presentation I over-explain why Europe and Asia modernized ahead of sub Saharan Africa. A common reason cited is Western Imperialism and Arab conquests. But the real reason, according to Thomas Sowell, is geography. Africa's physical geography influenced development, or underdevelopment, long before the age of Imperialism.
