Five indigenous ethnic groups live on the Taimyr Peninsula. In addition to the Dolgans and Nenets, the most ancient northern people of Eurasia are the Nganasans, as well as the Evenks and Entsy. An impromptu “ethnic camp” is set up on the main square of Norilsk, reindeer sled races are held through the streets, and sled trains with beams stand between the tents.
