THYROID TEST: UNDERSTANDING TSH, T3, T4 & HASHIMOTO'S DISEASE FOR HAIR LOSS

When you get a thyroid test, typically you'll be looking at three things: TSH (thyroid-stimulating hormone), T3, and T4. You'll also be looking for Hashimoto's, which is a disease where your body attacks the thyroid itself. If all of those are within the normal range, then it's unlikely that your thyroid is impacting you, and hair loss is likely due to another cause.
