In her first divine avatar, Shailputri, as the daughter of Himalaya, the shakti holds her head high, strong yet calm. In her second avatar as Brahmacharini, to please the mighty shiva, she moulded herself as a mediating monk, the one with an aim but yet saliently poised. In her third avatar, chandraghanta, with crescent moon on her head, she rides on a tiger to kill all evil and wicked. the fierce power stands for what is right, no matter what. In her fourth Avatar, as kushmanda, she is the creator of the universe and yet holds the power to destroy. As her fifth avatar, skandmata, the Shakti also brings prosperity to those who deserve it, bringing happiness in their lives. In her sixth form as katyayani, she is a mother yet the strongest warrior. holding sword in her hands, she rules the universe. In her seventh divine form, kaalratri, she can be as fierce as the mighty shiva, carrying a third eye on her forehead, holding the capacity to destroy anything and everything just in a blink. As her eighth divine form, mahagauri, even if she is carrying a trishul in her hand, she holds the ocean of emotions and love for her loved ones. As her ninth divine form Siddhidatri, shakti, herself, is am epitome of perfection with all the traits being perfectly balanced yet dominating as per the requirement.
While discussing about the nine divine avatars of goddess durga, i realized that she is no different from any other woman, perfectly chaotic yet peaceful, fierce yet loving, birth-giver yet holds the capacity to destroy if something is wrong for the ones we love.
