Only 999 Shelby GT350-H were delivered to Hertz in 1966, and a total of 1,001 were produced, of which this car is #999. It is one of only 48 in this red and gold colour scheme and one of only twelve red/gold cars left in existence. Today, this matching-numbers example presents in all-original, unrestored condition. The paintwork is showing patina of its age and interior is all original and in good condition.
The original 306 horsepower Shelby-enhanced 289ci 4.7-litre V8 is paired to a factory C4 automatic 3 speed transmission and remains a pleasure to drive. The driveline is all original, including the 3.50:1 9” Limited Slip Differential.
