Another level crossing in the west is on its way out 👋
The level crossing at Ferguson Street will be gone for good months ahead of schedule, and the new North Williamstown Station open in November ✅
The rail line will be lowered into a 750m trench, with major works kicking off this week as a 100-tonne piling rig begins drilling foundations 🏗️
🚧 An extended construction blitz will begin in August, with buses to replace trains between Williamstown and Newport. North Williamstown Station will close to passengers, and Ferguson Street will be closed at the level crossing.
