(4 Nov 2020) Neighbours of the gunman who went on a rampage in Vienna Monday say they are "shocked."
20-year-old Kujtim Fejzulai killed four people and injured 21 others before being shot dead by police.
Herrmann Scheerer, who lived in the same apartment block as the gunman, said he had seen him earlier in the day and he had helped "a lady carry her bags up the stairs."
Another neighbour, Kornelia Schaeffer, also expressed her shock and commented that Fejzulai was "always polite."
Fejzulai was a 20-year-old Austrian-North Macedonian dual citizen with a previous terror conviction for attempting to join the Islamic State group in Syria.
