Rain showers will increase in likelihood through the day on Friday as scattered cells travel from north to south through the morning, with more moderate activity possible by the evening and overnight into early Saturday.
Afternoon high temperatures will be cooler than the previous day, but this will still remain a warmer storm compared to most we've seen so far this winter season, allowing for rain over the mountains, not snow.
This is the first of two weakening atmospheric rivers that will impact Southern California. The second wave is expected late Tuesday into early Wednesday with another .20" to .50" in the forecast, similar to this storm arriving Friday.
