These are the top stories for today's Konkani Prime Bulletin:-



1- Director General of Police Goa Alok Kumar has claimed that an SIT is not required for now in job scam cases.
Speaking to media, Kumar stated that he and IPG are monitoring the investigation.
He further went on to say that there is no evidence that accused have succeeded in providing government jobs by paying money to anybody.

While giving details, South Goa SP Sunita Sawant said “ A total 12 job scam cases have been registered in South Goa District. We have arrested 20 persons including 2 govt officials so far, 1 absconding. We have seized 2 minibuses, 12 cars & 4 bikes,”

Sunita disclosed that people have been duped of Rs 5cr & above and that no political connections have been found till now.

North Goa SP informed that a total of 17 job scam cases have been registered in North Goa district and 13 persons have been arrested.


2- Power Minister Sudin Dhavalikar has said that the cash-for-job scam issue will be discussed in the upcoming cabinet meeting.
He further added that the image of MLAs has been tarnished due to this scam. Transport Minister Mauvin Godinho stated that the investigation was going in the right direction and the perpetrators would be punished.
 

3- Goa Assembly Speaker Ramesh Tawadkar has said that both aggressive and soft ideologies are important for the development of society.
He said that both ideologies have the same goal.



4- The first cruise ship of this season namely 'Vasco Da Gama' carrying 590 passengers & 416 crew arrived at MPA on Saturday.
The vessel arrived from Mumbai and will sail to Cochin port later. Meanwhile, a domestic cruise Empress carrying 1300 passengers also arrived at the MPA on Saturday.
MPA officials say 44 international and domestic cruises are lined up for the Tourism season.



5- Prudent Media reporters Vikram Nayak, Vivek Prabhu, Swapnil Tari & Shirish Kunkalekar have been awarded Goa State Journalist Awards for their stories on Goa's society, culture and environment.
Addressing the gathering at National Press Day, Min Mauvin Godinho said that the Journalist Protection will be passed in next and sent to the centre.


6- The Mapusa Sessions Court has sentenced convicts Umesh Lamani r/o Candolim & Daya Sahu n/o MP, to life imprisonment for murdering 1 person in 2018.
Restaurant owner Vishwajeet Singh was stabbed to death in August 2018, and then PI Calangute Jivba Dalvi had investigated the case.
