The 17th Toshali National Crafts Fair has started from February 1 at Janata Maidan, Bhubaneswar. The handicraft fair, organized annually by the Department of Handlooms, Textiles and Handicrafts, Government of Odisha, will continue till February 12.
People can visit Tosali Mela 2023 from 2.30 pm to 9.30 pm and cultural programs will be held between 6 pm to 9.30 pm. A total of 560 artisans and weavers from different parts of the country will participate in the fair, including 250 artisans from different parts of the country sponsored by the Development Commissioner (Handicrafts) under the National Handicrafts Fair scheme. DC (Handloom) sponsored 50 weavers from different parts of the country. Similarly, 150 artisans and 110 weavers in the state have been sponsored by the Directorate of Handicrafts, Odisha and the Directorate of Textiles and Textiles, Odisha respectively.
The Toshali Mela venue will also have a food court with 25 food stalls to provide visitors with delicious multi-cuisine meals along with traditional Oriya dishes.
